Vin Diesel Gets Candid About Fast and Furious Dust Up with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

"I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne."

Vin Diesel is finally opening up about the rumored feud between him and Fast and The Furious co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Over the summer, Johnson reportedly began the drama by calling one of his cast mates a "candy ass" for behaving unprofessionally on set. News eventually broke that The Rock was subliminally dissing Vin Diesel because of his role as a producer on the project. The pair eventually sat down in an unsuccessful attempt at burying the hatchet. Johnson has made it clear that he has "no regrets" for the public spat, but Diesel has played it cool until now.

During a recent chat with USA Today, he explained,"I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don't think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne."

Dishing on his role as a producer and how he goes above and beyond despite the shade he may encounter Diesel added, "I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne. I protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it. Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that’s me."

Refusing to reveal the deets on what caused the initial rift, Diesel did say that the pair are on the up-and-up. "Always, always, always. I’m always rooting for Dwayne. I’m the first multicultural megastar in Hollywood. They didn’t exist. To see another multicultural star come up is something I am very proud of. I’m always rooting Dwayne on."
