People Are Geeking Over This Wild Fan Theory About Kendrick Lamar

Do you believe the hype?

Kendrick Lamar's latest album DAMN! hasn't been out for a full day and fans are already speculating on his next project. Reddit users have created an Easter theory that K. Dot has a second album coming later this weekend on Easter Sunday.

The theory is that Kendrick's DAMN! album is the same narrative as of Jesus Christ. Fans believe the rapper dies on the album’s opening track "BLOOD" (“you have lost something… you’ve lost your life”), which happens to drop on Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. On Sunday, Jesus resurrects, and many believe Kendrick has hinted at his "resurrection" album dropping the very same day.

To fuel their speculation, the west coast MC raps on his single "The Heart Part 4," "dropped one classic, came right back." Also, “my next album, the whole industry on an ice pack… with TOC, you see the flames.” Followers are now interpreting “TOC” as meaning “the other color.”

“The other color” theory flows into the next curious hint from producer Sounwave. He sent out two cryptic tweets late last night. One post saying, "But what if I told you... that's not the official version.." and the other of a photo of Morpheus from the popular scene in the Matrix film where offers Neo the red and blue pill aka “the other color.” Fans speculate that another album with a blue cover, in contrast to DAMN!s red artwork, might be en route.

What do you think? Is this theory strong enough to believe, or are fans overthinking Kendrick's latest project? See what Twitter has to say about the wild easter theory below.
