Melissa McCarthy Celebrates "Probably Our Last Easter on Earth" as Sean Spicer on 'SNL'
By Jasmine Washington
Melissa McCarthy is back with another hilarious Sean Spicer impersonation on Saturday Night Live.
This time, McCarthy dressed up as an Easter bunny, a job previously held by Spicer IRL, in honor of the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll.
Highlighting Spicer's widely criticized comments about Hitler and the Holocaust, McCarthy mocked the press secretary with a shade-filled apology. Placing the blame on the press mid-apology, McCarthy quipped, "If you guys didn’t focus on every little slur and lie I said."
The jokes didn't stop there. McCarthy touched on United Airlines' recent debacle and President Trump possibly bombing North Korea.
Bringing her sketch to a close, McCarthy joked, "Everybody just eat as much candy as you want, because it’s probably our last Easter on Earth."
VH1 hosted a Black Women In Comedy event featuring SNL’s Ellen Cleghorne alongside some of today’s brightest comics. Watch their discussion in the panel below.
