You’d be hard-pressed to find a pop star bigger than Ariana Grande today. She’s currently bringing casual tears to fans on her Honeymoon tour, and next fall will mark her triumphant television return on Fox’s Scream Queens. So many exciting things on the horizon, but in the meantime, check out these 10 facts you may not know about Ms. Grande. And, oddly enough, demons are involved.
She’s obsessed with Halloween and scary things in general.
Despite her cheeky pop disposition, Ariana is weirdly into horror fare. “I wish every day were Halloween,” she confessed to Us Weekly. “I have had a sick obsession with horror movies since I was little. My mom thought I’d grow up to be a serial killer because I wore Halloween masks around the house.” Yikes. Not surprisingly, she counts down for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights like most people do Christmas.
She is the first female artist to have her first two albums debut at No. 1 since 2010.
Both Yours Truly (2013) and My Everything (2014) debuted at the top spot on Billboard’s 200 chart. The last person to achieve this feat? Queen Susan Boyle, of course.

Ariana shared this tidbit in an interview with Us Weekly. We’re not judging of course, but isn’t this a weird thing to have a strong opinion on? It’s akin to going hard for pulp orange juice.
She loves hockey.
A woman of many interests, Ari used to attend every home game of her beloved Florida Panthers. One source reports she’d repeatedly get hit by hockey pucks, which is only just a tad bit terrifying. When she was 8, Ariana sang the national anthem at one of those Panthers games and, as a result, robbed the relevancy from all your faves.
The first role she ever played was Annie.
Right around the time she sang the national anthem, Ariana snagged her first acting gig as the redheaded orphan we all know and love. She told Complex she “never stopped” acting after that.
She used to jam on the French horn.
Just absorb that visual for a second. Tiny Ariana Grande carrying around a French horn and playing songs like “Hot Crossed Buns” to the delight of plebeians everywhere. It’s so weird, but also incredibly flaw-free. We vote she incorporates the French horn into all of her future performances.
She stans hard for Bruce Almighty.
She’s actually said the 2003 film starring Jennifer Aniston and Jim Carrey is the “greatest movie ever.”
The first person she saw in concert was Katy Perry.
And strangely enough it was only four years ago. Katy is certainly a fan of Ms. Grande. She’s gone on record saying the “Problem” singer has the “best female vocal in pop music today.” So much GiRl PoWeR~*!
Beyoncé would be so proud. Because Ariana loves animals more than humans, she firmly believes in eating a full “plant-based” diet and pretty much sticks to “veggies, fruit, and salad” when she goes out.

Alright, this is just f—kin’ weird. During a trip to the Stull Cemetery of Kansas City in August 2013, known as “one of the seven gates to hell on Earth,” Ariana told Complex she felt demons in her presence. (The Catholic in me is screaming.)
“I felt this sick, overwhelming feeling of negativity over the whole car and we smelled sulfur, which is the sign of a demon…,” she told the magazine. “I was like, ’This is scary, let’s leave.’ I rolled down the window before we left and said, ’We apologize. We didn’t mean to disrupt your peace.’ Then I took a picture and there are three super distinct faces in the picture—they’re faces of textbook demons.”
But it gets better, Ari claimed that “weird things” started happening to her after the encounter, including hearing a “really loud rumble,” “whispers,” and seeing “really disturbing images with, like, red shapes” when she shut her eyes. SO. MUCH. NOPE.
