We Were Fighting Back Tears Watching Mary J. Blige Pay Tribute to Her Mother at 'Dear Mama'

This is definitely going to make your eyes sweat.

There's no doubt that Mary J. Blige inherited her strength from her mother Cora. Last night, Dear Mama gave the Queen of Hip Hop Soul a chance to tell the world who her queen is.

Miss Cora, who raised Mary and her siblings as a single parent, never let her personal hardships stop her from showing her children, and everyone around her, the utmost love and generosity. "We always had to share you with our friends and other children in the neighborhood, which we didn't want to do because you were our mommy," Mary reminds her mother.

As Mary continues her speech, we get to learn more about the mother behind the music legend, and its enough to move us to tears. "You were to us the greatest dancer, the greatest mother, the greatest cook, the greatest friend. I know I didn't listen to you a lot when I was younger, but I can hear you so clearly now as a woman."
