Vanessa Williams Is Maxine Robinson, The HBIC of VH1’s Newest Scripted Series Daytime Divas

"I certainly draw inspiration from the page, we have a very talented staff of writers."

Vanessa Williams learns what it means to be a bawse in her role as Maxine on VH1’s newest scripted series, Daytime Divas.

Based off of Star Jones’ book, Satan’s Sisters, Vanessa plays Maxine Robinson, the creator and executive producer of the daytime talk show, The Lunch Hour. Alongside a great group of writers, Vanessa draws the most inspiration from Star, who is legit a triple threat: journalist, lawyer, and a philanthropist (among other things). Vanessa may not have The View experience like Ms. Jones, but she has co-hosted before and fully understands what it takes to produce top-notch programming. Get familiar with Maxine because she’s the HBIC of this tea.
