Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Hired a Surrogate for Baby No. 3

The Wests have decided to expand their family and have put the wheels in motion to get it going.

According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have officially hired a surrogate to carry and deliver their third child. The couple allegedly shelled out a pretty penny for her services. The woman will receive a base pay of $45,000 over the course of 10 months, and the surrogate agency that linked them up will take away $68,850. If the pregnancy ends up being multiples, the surrogate will be paid $5,000 for each additional child.

The surrogate also has a rules to abide by in order to keep up with her end of the deal. To state the obvious, smoking, drinking and drug use are strictly forbidden. She also cannot go into hot tubs, change cat litter, apply hair dye or eat raw fish, which can all negatively impact the baby.

Since Kim suffered from a very serious condition called placenta accreta with both of her pregnancies, doctors have warned her that carrying a third pregnancy naturally could be life threatening. Kim has openly discussed surrogacy with her family during the filming of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. “I’ve come to the conclusion in my mind that I can’t carry another one,” she says in one episode. “So now I want to explore surrogacy.”
