Remy Ma, LL Cool J, Ice-T and More Gather To Pay Respects at Prodigy's Funeral
As the hip-hop world mourns the loss of Mobb Deep's Prodigy, tons of the rapper's family, friends and celebrity fans have gathered to say goodbye to the legend.
TMZ captured video footage from outside of the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in New York City today, where Prodigy's funeral is being held. Rappers LL Cool J, Remy Ma, Papoose, Ice-T and Fat Joe all came through to show their respect. Among the guests was of course Prodigy's rap partner and close friend Havoc, and also Questlove, chef Eddie Huang and Minister Louis Farrakhan.
The funeral was also open to the general public. Lori Chung of NY1 News posted a short video clip on Twitter of the long line of Mobb Deep fans entering the funeral home in single file.
Hoards of fellow New York rappers sent out their condolences to Prodigy on social media, detailing their personal connections with the Queens rapper. N.O.R.E recalls squashing his beef with Prodigy and running into him moments before he was rushed to the hospital.
