LL Cool J Asks Social Media For Help Finding Troubled Actress Maia Campbell

A disturbing viral video of the former In The House star is causing concern.

UPDATE:

Maia Campbell has since responded to LL's request for her contact info via another bizarre Instagram video. Dressed in ripped jeans and furry slippers, the 40-year-old former actress speaks to the camera, “Hey Todd, look bro, I love you,” referring to her former co-star. “I don’t need help, I just need a benefit concert for mental health. Don’t DM me.”

When the man filming continues questioning Campbell about how LL can get a hold of her, she began to get irritated. “Don’t call me, I’ll call you,” she laughs. Then in a more serious tone, she continues: “I’m really on Instagram. But I don’t want it to go down.”

LL Cool J is asking his social media followers for help in locating Maia Campbell, the actress who starred alongside him in hit TV sitcom In The House. In an Instagram post, LL asks his followers for "a contact on Maia" after a video of Campbell went viral on the internet. In the beginning of the footage, captured by local Atlanta rapper T-Hood, you can audibly hear Campbell asking for drugs.

Shortly after the video of Maia surfaced, LL chastised the rapper who filmed her on Twitter, saying it was irresponsible to exploit someone who was obviously "having trouble." T Hood has since taken to Instagram to state he has no remorse for filming Campbell.

This is not the first disturbing incident involving Campbell that the public has seen. Over the years, viral videos have surfaced on the Internet showing the former child star acting erratically and looking almost unrecognizable in comparison to her days in the spotlight. Campbell has also been arrested over the years for drug possession, disorderly conduct and prostitution.

But for all of her trouble, Campbell has attempted to clean up her act and share her testimony. In fact, she opened up about her addiction and bipolar disorder on the OWN show Iyanla: Fix My Life. The actress has admitted that her downward spiral was offset by the death of her mother in 2006.

LL recently hopped back on social media to thank his social media followers for their help and well wishes for Maia, though it's not been confirmed whether or not he actually got in touch with Campbell.

LL Cool J reveals that he bought his mother a cougar and a house with his first big check while living in her basement.
