Kendrick Lamar, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars Are Totally Dominating the 2017 VMAs Nominations

It's time to get your vote on!

Now that we’re fully recovered from the awesomeness that was MTV’s first combined Movie & TV Awards, it’s time to saddle up and get ready for the MTV Video Music Awards. The VMA’s are home to some of the most epic moments in pop culture, and this years nominations are comprised of some very well-deserved names.

Kendrick Lamar may have told you to “be humble,” but he has every reason to brag right now. On top of having a banner year with a sold out tour and #1 album, Kung Fu Kenny is up for eight nominations including Video of the Year, Best Hip Hop Song, and Best Artist. Bruno Mars, who is also traveling coast to coast on his 24K Magic tour, will go head to head with Lamar in many of the major categories including Video of the Year and Best Artist. Katy Perry scored big with five nominations for her two smash songs “Chained to the Rhythym” and “Bon Appetit” ft. Migos. Last but certainly not least, we’re oh so pumped to see newcomers in the game like SZA, Young M.A. and Khalid get some love on the list of nominees.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT to find out the winners. The good news is you will decide the winner. Head over MTV.com now and get to voting! See the full list of nominees below.
