Halsey Speaks Her Truth on Being a "White-Passing" Black Woman
"I look like a white girl, but I don’t feel like one."
Halsey may be known to most as a bubbly pop singer, but don't get it twisted, there's definitely more to her than meets the eye. And before you say you don't know her, just know you've definitely heard "Closer" at some point. In an upcoming interview with Playboy, Halsey gets real (like she always does) about her biracial background and what it's been like to be "white-passing" but identify as a black woman.
She had a lot to say about being biracial and white privilege. Here are a few highlights from the interview.
Halsey isn't the only one that can get candid when talking about being in a biracial family, check out this video of biracial couples talking about the first time they met each other's families.
