Solange is Contributing the Rebuild and Recovery Efforts in Houston With a Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concert

This is a major effort from one of Houston's very own.

Celebrities far and wide are reaching into their wallets in order to help those suffering from the horrendous aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Solange, however, is taking her contributions up a few more notches in an effort to help her hometown bounce back.

The "Cranes In The Sky" singer announced via Instagram that all proceeds from her Orion's Rise performance at Boston's Orpheum Theater on September 28th will go to Harvey relief. "I’m committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love," she writes. "See you September 28th Boston, I thank you in advance for making this a special meaningful night!"

But it didn't stop there. After selling out her three Orion's show in New York City and California, Solange tacked on an additional show at Radio City Music Hall to raise money for her Houston's Third Ward. The show will feature performances from with Earl Sweatshirt and Chassol, with $3 from every ticket going to Harvey victims.

Solo's big sis Beyoncé is implementing a Harvey relief plan of her own. Earlier this week, she announced that she's working closely with her organization BeyGood and local Houston Pastor Rudy Rasmus to develop a plan that will help as many hurricane victims as possible.

Way to go, Knowles ladies! Ticket's for Solange's benefit show can be purchased here.
