Dave Chappelle Will Have You Laughing Away the Bad Juju From 2017 With His New Special 'Equanimity'
2017 was not exactly a shining year for America. There was Alt-Right terror, sexual assault allegations abound and covfefe (whatever that is). Thankfully, we have folks like Dave Chappelle to help us make sense of it all through the art of comedy.
Netflix just dropped the trailer for Chappelle’s new stand-up special "Equanimity," which will stream on New Year’s Eve. Filmed in his hometown of Washington, D.C., the comedy legend gives his hot take on all of the disastrous events that have hit the media in the past 12 months. He jokingly takes a swipe at "poor whites" who were duped into voting for Donald Trump, and brags about making enough money last year to rub elbows with rich Hollywood people and learn all of their secrets.
This is the third exclusive stand-up special Chappelle has released with the streaming giant. The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium and Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limit, were released in March.
Hey...you've got to laugh to keep from crying, right?
