In The First 6 Minutes Of 'Love & Hip Hop Miami' Budding Artist Amara La Negra Brings Her Mom To A Business Meeting And It's Comedy Gold

"Hola, Señor Hollywood."

"If you don't look a certain type of way, it's almost impossible to be taken seriously," Amara La Negra explains in the first few moments of Love & Hip Hop Miami's series premiere. Amara is a dynamic Dominican performer who's looking for success in the mainstream to make her mama proud, but she's fiercely independent and proud of her individuality. Part of that individuality includes a killer sense of style, amazing talent, and bringing her mother with her everywhere she goes.

So when she goes to see producer Young Hollywood for their very first meet-up, he is completely thrown off to see a gorgeous young star and her older mom, Ana. "Who's abuelita?" he wonders as Ana gives a wave and greets him, "Hola, Señor Hollywood!"

"I hope you don't mind," Amara tells him, to which he responds, "I do, but..." and PRETENDS he's kidding but he's so mad. And Amara knows it, and she's like...

Ana is a good BS detector so Amara relies on her to see things in her collaborators that she doesn't see. But will bringing her mom to a business meeting be her downfall? Find out on the season premiere of Love & Hip Hop Miami on Monday, January 1 at 9/8c.
