In Honor of Marisa Tomei Joining the Cast of 'Empire', Relive Her Life-Changing Monologue from 'My Cousin Vinny'

"Imagine you're a deer."

Empire fans, get hyped. Marisa Tomei is joining the cast of the Fox show's second season. According to Mashable, Marisa will be playing Mimi Whiteman, a rich billionaire and "demanding venture capitalist" with a penchant for "hip hop music, social trends, high-end fashion and beautiful women." You read that correctly: the Oscar winner will be playing a loaded lesbian. Can I get a collective "yaaaas!?" I literally cannot wait to see her outfits.

Marisa is one of several A-listers joining in on the Empire fun. Kelly Rowland, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, and Oprah are also set to stir up Lyon family drama this season. Will the show suffer from guest appearance overload? Only time will tell.

However, back to Marisa. The 50-year-old actress is a flaw-free Thespian who knows how to deliver both the laughs and the feels. In fact, does anyone remember her breakout role in 1992's My Cousin Vinny? Marisa played Mona Lisa Vito, a fast-talking New Yorker engaged to Joe Pesci's character. She took home the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her performance, and we totally understand why after her "Imagine you're a deer" monologue. When Vinny (Joe) tells Mona he's going hunting to finesse a lawyer into giving him some files, she freaks out and — well — we'll just let you watch it.

If Marisa delivers some of this oomph to Mimi Whiteman, we're in for quite the season!
