Yesterday, Herrington watched her dreams come true as Bank’s unveiled her SI swimsuit cover, making Herrington the third Black cover model to ever grace the coveted spot.

Who was the first you might ask?

None other than Banks herself.

Banks, one of the most influential Black models in the industry has crafted and perfected models for over a decade on her hit show America’s Next Top Model. Can you imagine her telling you that all your dreams came true?

Banks was always a role model for Herrington and when it was time to find out about her 2018 SI cover, her hero came to the rescue.

SO THIS JUST HAPPENED! @si_swimsuit @tyrabanks ❤️

Herrington even got special message from Banks for her appearance on Good Morning America.

I’m not crying, the last competitor who cried on America’s Next Top Model makeover is!

This week, Tyra eliminates a model who started off as a frontrunner in the competition.
