From looking for her mom (who was hiding from her abusive dad) to finding out that she’s pregnant, this trip to Korea has been nothing but stressful for Young Bae. Stressful turned into scary when Bae had to schedule an emergency doctor’s appointment after some abnormal bleeding.
Thank goodness Miss Kitty happened to be awake when Young Bae booked an early appointment so that Bae wouldn’t have to go alone. The doctor says an ultrasound will help them see what’s going on. While setting up, Kitty acknowledges her concerns about the safety of Bae’s baby considering the emotional toll of the Korea trip. The doctor can’t hear the baby’s heartbeat because Bae is fidgeting but once she calms down, they’re able to see the first picture of baby Bae and hear its heartbeat. Not only did she find out everything was ok, she also found out that how far along she is (which is 8 weeks).
