Malik Explains Coming Out on National TV and Clarifies His Offensive Comments Towards Bobby Lytes

"Everyone has heard this word in life."

Malik was satisfied with his choice to come out to the world via Love & Hip Hop Miami, but he did offer some clarity on words he may have used that offended people.

In this clip from part one of the Love & Hip Hop Miami reunion, Malik was asked to clarify some comments he made about "flamboyant queens" during the show. Some people thought he was specifically targeting Jeffrey's ex, Bobby Lytes, but he claims that wasn't the case. "I didn't say his name at the time after I said it. That F word is someone who is messy, loud, rambunctious and all over the place. That's what I meant. Everyone has heard this word in life." Bobby accepts that the comment wasn't directed towards him, but feels Malik could have represented better with the platform he's been given.

Prince says that he's been questioned about his sexuality himself."Someone will make fun of the octave level of my voice. Like, how the f--k am I supposed to make my voice deeper?"

Ultimately, Malik is happy with his decision to come out despite what people in his industry might think. But where do things stand with Jeffrey? Find out on part two of the Love & Hip Hop Miami reunion.
