These charges could land him in jail.

In case you missed it, Juelz Santana is currently up against some legal issues stemming from an incident that went down at a New Jersey airport, and we've got the latest updates on his legal woes.

On March 9th, Santana (born LaRon James) showed up at Newark Liberty International Airport for a flight to San Francisco when TSA agents claim to have discovered a gun and illegal drugs in his luggage. Santana allegedly fled the airport and hopped in a cab before an arrest could be made, leaving all of his belongings behind. Port Authority Police Department conducted a search but were unable to locate him. Santana eventually turned himself into police Monday, March 26, 2018.

Unfortunately, the former Love & Hip Hop star remains behind bars after pleading not guilty, as U.S. Magistrate Judge James B. Clark, III, denied the his request for bail. According to The Daily Voice, the 36-year-old rapper is now facing state and federal charges. If convicted, there is a strong possibility he could serve time in prison.

Before his arrest, Juelz had been teasing a collaboration with Lil' Wayne called I Can't Feel My Face. It remains to be seen if and how this project will move forward now that Santana is temporarily out of commission.

Santana's Dipset brother Jim Jones, as well as his fans, have been posting with the hashtag #FreeJuelz.

Some reports said that Santana’s next court hearing was on April 9th, however his attorney told NorthJersey.com that no other court date has been set.

More details to come as the story develops.
