VH1's 'Dear Mama' Event

Anderson is an actor, comedian, and writer who currently stars in and executive produces the hit show Black-ish and produces the spinoff Grown-ish. La La Anthony has many credits to her name as well, including being a producer on Broadway, a best-selling author, an actor, and former radio personality. Here's how I feel about them coming back for this year's event:

(That's Anthony Anderson's mama, y'all! We bet she's excited, too!)

The show honors mothers with celebrity guests paying tribute to the women who have shaped their success. How could we ever forget the past A-listers who have saluted the leading women in their lives? From Alicia Keys' emotional tribute to her mother, to Mary J. Blige sharing her favorite things about her mama, and Robin Thicke performing a medley of songs that his talented mother wrote.

We can't wait to see what this year's presenters and honorees have up their sleeves. Stay tuned for more announcements and for more updates. Go to DearMama.vh1.com and follow @VH1 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #DearMamaVH1 to join the conversation.

At the first Dear Mama event, Anthony Anderson shared a story of how his mom decided to gamble with her friends instead of going to the White House to meet President Obama.
