Jessie J's 'Dear Mama' Performance of "I'm Every Woman" Deserves a Standing Ovation From You and Your Mama
This year's Dear Mama event was full of heartwarming tributes and musical guests, and one in particular got the audience on their feet with her rendition of "I'm Every Woman."
Jessie J's mother wasn't at the event (she was across the pond in England) but that didn't stop Jessie J from dedicating her performance to not only her mother, but every woman and mom in the audience.
With stellar vocals across the board, Jessie J sang her uplifting new single, "Queen," reminding the women in the audience and at home that they are beautiful, and then she got the crowd on their feet with her rendition of Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman." Listening to her riff and belt out those high notes is something you've got to hear for yourself.
The moms in the audience couldn't contain themselves when Jessie J started belting out the all-too-familiar words, "I'm every woman! It's all in me!"
Colin Kaepernick's mom clapped along.
While Gabrielle Union's table got up on their feet.
Diddy's mama grooved along in her seat.
While her son got up and changed the words to "I'm every man!"
It was definitely a performance to remember! Go to VH1.com for more Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms performances and tributes you may have missed.
