It couldn’t have been an easy decision, but Ashley has decided on a custody arrangement that should keep both her and Don happy.
The key word here is should. When Don meets Ashley (on the day she is planning to leave for Texas) she tells him that she will be moving with baby Ashdon and that Don Jr. will stay with him. She has “no other choice but to get away and get the support [she] needs to figure things out.”
Ashley feels that, despite all that he has done, Don is a good father, and it wouldn’t be right to take Don Jr. out of school in the middle of the year and uproot his life. Logistically, there may be some flaws in her plan, which Don immediately points out, but Ashley needs to do what she needs to do to move past Don’s infidelity and respectfully co-parent.
Do you think these two can make it work? That goodbye certainly isn’t promising…
