With all that’s happening on Black Ink Crew: Chicago with the new shop, Charmaine is still trying to figure out how to manage the rest of the crew. With the other artists threatening mutiny, it’s time for her to get it together and get a quick reality check, and no one knows her better than her own mom.
We knew we were going to like Charmaine’s mama when she walked into her daughter’s apartment and immediately threw shade at her for not picking her up at the airport, but then she went on to read her own daughter her rights. After Charmaine explains that she bought the LLC for Loyal Ink and that the crew isn’t necessarily on board, her own mama tells her, “I didn’t raise you to be nasty!”
And it doesn’t end there. She looks her baby girl dead in the face and says, “Charmaine, it’s a tattoo shop. You don’t tattoo. They have skills. You don’t.”
