Summertime, summertime, why must you go so soon?
Seems like just yesterday we were grilling the dogs for Memorial Day but sadly, the summer is nearing it’s end for 2018. We traveled, we turned up, we relaxed, and got tan but sadly, the sun won’t be blazing for too much longer. Although most of us still work, there is something freeing about the summer so don’t let the impeding fall weather make you miss out on the remaining 90 degree days.
Before we have to put away our all-white ’fits, here’s a few things you can do to get that last hurrah in before summer Fridays are no longer. If these VH1 stars could do it, so could you.
Have a pool day!
The sun is still out and there is still time to throw on a sexy bathing suit. Whether private, community, or at a hotel, gather up a few friends, get a water resistant iPhone case, and splash around. Don’t let the weather take a dip before you do. Also, if you plan on visiting Spain, Mexico, or Japan soon, just know that mermaid swim classes exist where you can have fun on vacay while getting a little workout in. Not to mention, it looks exotic AF. Channel your inner Ariel.
Attend a lit party.
Be on your Tommie s–t, it’s time. Some great music, great people, and a bit of hookah may be a dope way to end your summer.
Hit the gym.
Rain, shine, sleet, or snow, working out is not a seasonal thing. Just because we’re running out of time to show off our beach bods, doesn’t mean we have to let them go. Wake up and get them gains. Everyone should love themselves enough to work out, regardless of the weather.
Pray for another dope year.
Joc has the formula, CHURCH (Meek Mill voice). Summertime could be so fun and free but it shouldn’t stop you from giving praise where praise is due. Pray for your family, yourself, and give thanks before falling back into autumn. If you’re going back to school or dreading the end of summer, take some time to appreciate your blessings so you can welcome more.
Get your cheeks sandy!
Draya makes it look a lot sexier than it is but you can never go wrong with the beach. Before the sun goes on a vacay of it’s own, have some relaxation time with your towel, the beautiful ocean, and some good ol’ serenity.
Take a family trip!
Before they’re committed to school or daycare, take a few days to make some more family memories.
Go to a festival!
Sumfest in Jamaica passed already but there are still plenty of outdoor events to attend. Hit up a day party or concert and just let loose like no one is watching, like Karlie did this time when she was in JA.
Have a last minute bae-cation.
Swim with some dolphins, ride some jet skis, and just enjoy your significant other. It’s not too late to take an extra day off to have an all-inclusive mini getaway.
