"I Was Just So Depressed and Crying:" Remy Ma Gets Candid About Featuring Her Miscarriage on 'Love & Hip Hop'

"... you're not the only person going through this."- Papoose

At any given moment, "your story can be the key that can unlock someone else's prison."

Being on reality television is no easy feat. Your life is an open book to literally the entire world. So when Remy Ma suffered from her miscarriage, the decision to film that part of her life was extremely difficult. In this Love & Hip Hop New York web exclusive, Remy Ma shares her reasoning behind allowing such a private moment in her life to be featured on the show.

"It was crazy because prior [to the miscarriage] we had filmed me taking the pregnancy test, it coming out positive, me giving it to Pap and his excitement," Remy explains, however the show didn't air yet. After experiencing that immense heartbreak, Remy felt an overwhelming feeling of depression and just wanted to take out all of the previously shot footage altogether. Thank God for Papoose who reminded his beloved wife that, "People love you because you're so real. People relate to you because you go through things and you talk about things that they actually go through." Since Remy isn't the only one going through it, Papoose felt that was even more of a reason to tell others her testimony.

The moment Papoose's excitement in learning that Remy was pregnant aired, the Bronx emcee was just scrolling Twitter because she had a sense that "fans were going to be devastated." Remy knew what was coming next and was "crying just watching it." When the episode aired, that reopened old wounds but it is no doubt "one of the most important scenes" Remy has ever filmed.

Now that she is expecting her baby boy or girl, Remy is glowing and for some comical reason, Pap is low-key wishing obesity on her. But, all-in-all pregnancy has been a fun experience, preparing outfits and a nursery fit for the #GoldenChild. Remy is happy and following such an emotional journey, we're even happier for her and Pap.

RETRACTION: "Glowing" is an understatement. She is beautiful.

Keep up with Remy's pregnancy, starting with the premiere of Love & Hip Hop New York, Monday November 26th at 8/7c!
