Our Hearts Go Out To This 'Black Ink Crew' Co-Star Whose Son Passed Away From Brain Cancer

Sky asked that people pray for her BFF.

Black Ink Crew's Alison Monroe, one of Sky's closest friends, announced that her son Joshua passed away after a battle with brain cancer. He was just 14 years old.

Alison wrote in an emotional Instagram post, “My baby boy is gone. As I smell the tee shirt you were wearing yesterday, my eyes swell up with tears. Not just tears of sadness. But tears of joy! Just knowing that yesterday morning you were able to walk and talk again in heaven. I asked you yesterday to come visit me in my sleep. You didn’t come last night. No rush baby boy I know I’ll see you soon. This shit feels fake. I love and miss you so bad Joshua. #teamJAM”

She has been posting memories and tributes to her son on Instagram, mourning his loss.

Sky posted tributes to Joshua on her Instagram. The first was a photo of Sky with Joshua and his mother asking for prayers for her best friend.

The second was a video of the two dancing that she captioned, "Damn Baby 💚 R.i.p. My Love Thank You For Showing Me Love Unconditionally."

She also posted a photo that read, "NEVER will I be the same...The purest person that loved me is really gone I could do no wrong in his eyes..."

She captioned the post, "I never Felt Love Like That Before from ANYONE .. @honeystarr Gave Me A Chance To Feel Motherhood After I gave my children up for adoption.. I said I would learn motherhood and when I met them again I would know what to do.. Still doNT KNOW THE RIGHT SHIT but thank YOU for letting me feel a LOVE I’ve NEVER FELT Before... 💔💔 My Heart is Broken #YouWillNeverSeeIt"
