After losing Precious tragically because of injuries she sustained during a car crash, T.I. is honoring his sister’s memory in the best way that he can think of: Giving back to others.
T.I. says that he owes a lot to Precious. She was “a pivotal part of [his] development.” She was also a single mother who worked to make sure that life was “better for her children and anyone else that she encountered.” That is why T.I. partnered with VH1 and UNCF to award a student a scholarship in Precious’ name.
This year, T.I. surprised a single mother who is not only rocking it academically, but who is also president of her class and founder of Queen Women’s Empowerment Organization. T.I. hopes that the scholarship “will help her continue on her path to do great things in her future.” The scholarship, by the way, is for $25,000, but don’t get any ideas. As T.I. says, “Do not ask her for no money on the way out of here!”
