Who Really Killed the National Anthem Last Night: Ciara or Her Backup Singers?

You can be honest.

Ciara, along with three backup vocalists, sang the national anthem at last night's MLB All-Star Game, and it wasn't as good as some are making it out to be.

Just to be clear, the performance wasn't terrible by any means. CiCi is a Grammy award-winning artist for crying out loud! We know she can sing! (She's arguably better at dancing, but that's a separate topic.) Credentials aside, Ciara's rendition of the national anthem last night didn't show her pipes in the best light, and the pitchy backup vocalists didn't help — which is weird, 'cause you think they would, but oh well, get 'em next time.

In case you missed it, here's Ciara singing the national anthem last night.

The performance wasn't a Keri Hilson-level fail, but it wasn't great. It was okay — not the best, but okay. With that in mind, think about the following question. Who really killed the national anthem last night: Ciara or her backup vocalists?

Was it Ciara?

Or the backup vocalists?

Ciara...

... or the backup vocalists?

Be honest.
