The Cast of 'My So-Called Life': Where Are They Now?

We revisit the '90s teen angst series.

In 1994, a show about a teenage girl came into our lives and changed them forever. While it was just as swiftly taken from us, My So-Called Life left an impact on television and on its viewers. As we near the show's 21st birthday (Rayanne, you still should not be drinking) we thought we'd check in and see how the Chase family and friends have fared over the years. Spoiler: one of them is now a royal!

Claire Danes (Angela Chase)

We all know how Angela Chase herself turned out. Danes has enjoyed a successful career, including Emmy wins for Temple Grandin and Homeland. And our favorite angsty teen is now a mom! She and husband Hugh Dancy welcomed a son in 2012.

Bess Armstrong (Patty Chase)

As Patty, Angela's mom who tried her best to navigate the minefield of life with a teenage daughter, Armstrong gave us all a little insight into the hell we inflicted upon our parents. After My So-Called Life, she's appeared on shows like Frasier, Boston Legal, One Tree Hill, and, most recently, House of Lies. You might also remember her as Maxwell Sheffield's dead wife on The Nanny — just me then? (Fran) FINE.

Tom Irwin (Graham Chase)

After we were so cruelly denied finding out what happened to Graham when Angela caught him stepping out (UGH, HALLIE LOWENTHAL), Irwin returned to his life as a theater actor while still appearing on shows like ER and Touched by an Angel, as well as House of Lies (just like his TV wife). He can now be seen on the Lifetime show Devious Maids.

A.J. Langer (Rayanne Graff)

While Rayanne may have been on a sad road to nowhere, Langer is doing just fine. She's a Lady. Not a lowercase-l lady, but a Lady! Langer married the son of the Earl of Devon, and will eventually become the Countess of Devon. When that happens, she and her husband, along with their two kids, will live in a castle. Not bad, Rayanne, not bad.

Wilson Cruz (Rickie Vasquez)

Wilson Cruz is an LGBT advocate who has appeared on Ally McBeal, Grey's Anatomy, Party of Five, and most recently, the short-lived Red Band Society. He also played Angel in Rent on Broadway. Enrique Rickie would be proud.

Jared Leto, (Jordan Catalano)

Jared Leto is blonde now. He has other stuff going on, too, like winning an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club, performing with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars, and preparing to play the Joker in Suicide Squad. But right now we're just really focused on this blonde thing.

Devon Gummersall (Brian Krakow)

First and foremost, Gummersall ruined our lives by going from Brian Krakow to the guy who raped Felicity's roommate Julie on Felicity. Most recently, he's appeared on Mad Men as Peggy Olson's date and on iZombie, In addition to that and directing, he's also appeared in shows like Castle, 24, and The L-Word.

Devon Odessa (Sharon Cherski)

The artist formerly known as good girl Sharon Cherski has kept a pretty low profile, most recently appearing on That's So Raven and Private Practice.

Danielle Chase (Lisa Wilhoit)

In researching this post I learned that Lisa Wilhoit's cousins are Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit who played Nicky and Alex, Jesse and Becky's sons on Full House. I could stop this thing right then and there, but Wilhoit has done quite well for herself, spending the last 15 years as the voice of Connie D'Amico and other characters on Family Guy.

Cousin Tino

We were unable to locate Cousin Tino.
