Kanye West and Caitlyn Jenner crossed paths for the first time on the series premiere of I Am Cait, and it was as great as we hoped.

Kanye, who has been heavily scrutinized in the media throughout his career for being "different," praised Jenner on her courage for coming out. "I think it's one of the strongest things that's happened in our existence as human beings that are so controlled by perception," he told Caitlyn in a room with Kim Kardashian and Jenner's sister Pam. "You couldn't have been up against more. Your daughter's a supermodel, you're a celebrity... every type of thing, and it was still like, 'F-ck everybody, this is who I am.'"

Caitlyn also opened up about her relationship with West. "Kanye and I have never been very close," she tells the camera. "But I love his open-mindedness. And I love how he's helped Kim come to grips with what's going on."

The two are highly impactful celebrity figures, both controversial, and they both aren't afraid to stand up for a cause. New besties? We can see it.
