Watch Metallica Erupt With Their First Lollapalooza Set In 19 Years
Hetfield + Co. rocked the crowd with "Wherever I May Roam," "The Unforgiven," "Sad But True," and more.
Metallica have been away from the Lollapalooza stage for nearly two decades, but they returned with a vengeance over the weekend by rocking the Chicago crowd with an unrestrained 18-song set. Hetfield and Co. brought their A-game to Grant Park, kicking things off with "Fuel" before shifting into the higher octane "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and "Wherever I May Roam." They even reached all the way back to "Disposable Heroes," a track from their 1986 disc, Master Of Puppets.
They closed out the night with a 4-song encore featuring a cover of Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?"—and, of course, a little "Enter Sandman." Check out the fan-captured vids from the performance!
