The highly-anticipated film Straight Outta Compton, about the rap group N.W.A, hits theaters this weekend. Early reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of release drama to wet your appetite.
The Gossip Table dishes that R. Marcus Taylor, who plays Suge Knight in the film, isn’t worried about backlash for his portrayal of the famous hip-hop producer—despite major issues that went down on the movie’s location. (According to reports, IRL Suge visited the set for a meeting, which led to an argument and a fatal hit and run. Suge was charged with murder.)
“I feel sorry for the person who died,” R. Marcus said. “My heart goes out to them. But on this film, I had tunnel vision. This was my big opportunity, and nothing was ’gonna stop me.”
