The upcoming Nirvana documentary Montage Of Heck will feature some of the earliest footage of the band that has ever been released to the public. As a sneak peak, check out this amazing never-before-seen video showing the future legends performing to just two people!
The New York Times has shared this exclusive clip from the film, showing Nirvana in their infancy, playing to a crowd of two at what appears to be an intimate gathering at someone’s house.
The video also has an interview with bassist Krist Novoselic, describing his first memories of the band’s lead spirit, Kurt Cobain. “He’d always have to do some kind of art — usually defacing something. He never had, like, idle hands. It just came out of him; he had to express himself.”
Watch the rest of the clip above, and be sure to tune in to the documentary’s HBO premiere on May 4th.
