Ah, Twitter. Such a magical tool that delivers and creates news, Meek and Drake memes, and all the ridiculous and outrageous stuff in between. Another Twitter gem is its amazing search feature that lets you go back and find almost anything. Putting on our detective hats, we decided to fact check Donald Trump’s claim that he only ever said sexist things about Rosie O’Donnell via Twitter.
Just like with everything else he’s said, that comment was basically all bull, and here’s what we turned up.
-
A classy comment directed at Arianna Huffington, Editor-in-Chief of The Huffington Post:
.@ariannahuff is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man- he made a good decision.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2012
-
And another:
Huffington Post is just upset that I said its purchase by AOL has been a disaster and that Arianna Huffington is ugly both inside and out!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 20, 2014
-
You may have missed this charming post about actress Sarah Jessica Parker:
-
When most people win a lawsuit, they leave it alone. Trump is not most people.
Mrs. Goldberg, who filed the Chicago case many years ago, is a vicious and conniving woman–loved beating her.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 24, 2013
Just had to gloat.
-
Uh….
Maybe I’m old fashioned but I don’t like seeing women in combat.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 25, 2013
-
Where’s Matt McGory when you need him?
26,000 unreported sexual assults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?

Trump wasn’t wrong—he definitely did insult Rosie O’Donnell:
Sorry, @Rosie is a mentally sick woman, a bully, a dummy and, above all, a loser. Other than that she is just wonderful!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 9, 2014
Hey, he didn’t lie about that part.
-
Sometimes in a way that didn’t even make sense:
Rosie O'Donnell just said she felt "shame" at being fat-not politically correct! She killed Star Jones for weight loss surgery, just had it!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 10, 2014
-
He even came for actress Bette Midler.
While @BetteMidler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 28, 2012
-
Boo, she didn’t send for you…
.@BetteMidler talks about my hair but I'm not allowed to talk about her ugly face or body — so I won't. Is this a double standard?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 28, 2012

Of course, there’s his most recent gaffe.
Re Megyn Kelly quote: "you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever" (NOSE). Just got on w/thought
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 8, 2015
After Kelly brought up the fact that Donald Trump is, in fact, a sexist…he responded and…proved her right. “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.” Apparently he meant nose. We aren’t so sure about that.
-
And finally, one that left us speechless:
I really like Chelsea Clinton–an amazing young woman. She got the best of both parents. (@IvankaTrump agrees)
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 21, 2012
We don’t think this was sarcastic, which is even more frightening.
