Lady Gaga’s Rap Career That Almost Was

Why don't we talk about Mother Monster's bars for a second?

In less than a decade, Lady Gaga rose from a go-go dancer in the downtown NYC scene to a pop icon. After turning heads around the world for her fashion, catchy tunes, and meat dress, she recorded a jazz album and with Tony Bennett and effortlessly slayed in a performance at the Oscars. While Gaga's still a pop artist at heart, we bet you didn't know she's an aspiring rapper on the side. Don't believe us? This ought to be fun.

She's teamed with Kendrick (twice), Trina, T.I., Kanye, and even spit all on her own a few times. Bow down, Iggy.

But before you get into the proof, check Rachel Platten talking about performing with pre-fame Gaga.
