Fun. Cover Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen” And She Returns The Love

There’s a love fest going on between Ellie Goulding and Fun. and we kind of dig it. In their world on some nights, anything could happen. See what we did there?

Ellie did her own breathy version of Fun.’s “Some Nights” to simple piano keys. Her whispering croon gave the otherwise rock song a soft remake. By the time the guitar kicks in Ellie’s voice is still daintily smooth. Her sugary sweet version did the original justice.

Fun. lent their vocals to Ellie’s debut “Anything Could Happen” to a stripped down guitar strings minimalist version. Nate Ruess changes octaves from low to high singing, “I know it’s gonna be, I know it’s gonna be, I know it’s gonna be.” His conviction in singing the last words, “I don’t think I need you” makes us believers.
