What Jessie Ware Wears

Jessie Ware may single-handedly revive the crop top stateside. Along with signature colors of black and white, crop tops are Jessie's go-to wardrobe pick, but for the Webster Hall show she had something different in mind. Just don't expect her to steer too far away from black.
True to form Jessie's dressed in a long-sleeved black crop top, black trousers and khaki "half-blazer" in her dressing room pre-show. Our April You Oughta Know artist is all about comfort. Since Webster Hall is a big North American stop for her she's going all out. The Hannah Marshall turtleneck velvet dress she chose for the occasion has accented cut-out sleeves at the elbow. "I'll probably wear my hair in a bun," she said. "Always the big hoops." Jessie's such an around the way girl.
When it comes to her shoe game she'd much rather wear her black slippers, but performing at Webster Hall calls for black platform heels instead to "feminize" her look a bit more. Her everyday wear consists of crop tops and pants, and if she's in the mood she'll make an effort with a heel. "If I'm not doing any work or any promo or anything you'll find me in like jogging pants, sneakers and a big oversized jumper, and I'll be the happiest in that." As far as her performance style idols: Grace Jones and Elizabeth Taylor. But let's not jump the gun hoping for disco balls on Jessie's head while singing "Wildest Moments."
