Cyndi Lauper stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan yesterday to discuss the drag queen inside us all, her musical contribution to Broadway musical Kinky Boots, and the buzz surrounding her highly anticipated "She's So Unusual" tour.

Lauper has been on our radios and in our hearts since her debut album, She's So Unusual, was released in 1983. She's So Unusual spawned four top five hits on the Billboard charts, including the timeless, girl power anthem "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." By 1985, Lauper earned herself the Best New Artist title at the Grammy Awards. Not only did she continue releasing hit after hit, but she also showed the world her acting chops, winning an Emmy Award for her role of Marianne on the popular 90s sitcom Mad About You. Lauper gets one step closer to EGOT status, joining the ranks of Audrey Hepburn and Mel Brooks, as her foray into the world of Broadway, Kinky Boots, has been nominated for 13 Tony Awards.
