Remembering Devo's Alan Myers

The music world is mourning the loss of Alan Myers, drummer of the new wave band Devo. The band is known most for their 1980 hit, "Whip It."

The drummer, known as the "human metronome," played on Devo's first several albums until he left the band in 1985. Myers' former bandmate Gerald Casale posted a tribute on Twitter, while other members of the music industry offered condolences.
