Wale Supports Anti-Bullying Efforts Through Non-Profit Saving Our Daughters

With all promotion and celebration around his new album The Gifted, Wale found time to visit the Bethune School in Atlanta, Georgia last week in support of Saving Our Daughters. The non-profit organization aims to spark positive activism and empower teenagers to act positively in their community, and has received celebrity support from the likes of T.I., K.Michelle, and Nas over the years.

During his visit, the Washington, DC native spoke to students enrolled in summer school, encouraging them to "never stop being [themselves]" and to remember that it's okay to walk away from confrontation. Wale took questions from the group, and watched as eight students were selected to pledge an oath to help their peers who are victims of bullying. "We thank Wale for dropping by to take the oath with us about bullying," said administrator Warren Edwards. "Our summer school students were truly inspired."
