Sara Bareilles Breaks Down 'The Blessed Unrest', Track By Track (Pt. 1 of 2)
We here at VH1 have been passengers on the Sara Bareilles bandwagon since we first heard her breakthrough album, Little Voice, back in 2007. Over the course of the last six years and change, the You Oughta Know alum has sold millions of albums, been nominated for multiple Grammys, and developed significantly as both a songwriter and artist. Today, she releases her highly anticipated fourth LP, The Blessed Unrest, which is already drawing acclaim thanks to its pro-LGBT anthem, "Brave."

We got a chance to sit down and spend a couple of hours with Sara last week, and she was gracious enough to walk us through the backstories of each and every song on The Blessed Unrest. Today, we have Sara's Track-By-Track breakdown for you of the first six songs on her brand new album ("Brave," "Chasing The Sun," "Hercules," "Manhattan," "Satellite Call" and "Little Black Dress") that you can watch to get additional layers of insight into her songwriting process. Tomorrow, we'll be bringing you Sara's Track-By-Track commentary for the songs on the second half of the album. But now, let's get on with the show!
Come back to VH1 Tuner tomorrow to catch Part 2 of Sara's The Blessed Unrest commentary, which will feature her stories about "Cassiopeia," "1000 Times," "I Choose You," "Eden," "Islands" and "December."
