Robin Thicke might scoop up the Moonman for Video of the Year tonight at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards for "Blurred Lines," but it's his new video for "Give It 2 U" that everyone can't stop talking about. MTV News was live on the set of "Give It 2 U ft. 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar (Remix)" to talk to the man himself about reuniting with "Blurred Lines" director Diane Martel.

"It's a Diane Martel dream and I'm just happy to be here," Thicke gushed while being flanked by a girl dressed like cotton candy and three feminine football players.

Like Thicke and Martel's last collaboration,"Blurred Lines," the new video for "Give It 2 U" plays with sumptuous imagery, sexual fantasies and a bit of social media savvy.

Diane Martell wasn't just the mastermind behind "Blurred Lines." She also directed Miley Cyrus's video for "We Can't Stop." So what makes Martell such a fantastic music video director? Thicke seems to have some ideas.

"Well, the thing about Diane Martel that makes her so amazing, besides just being a crazy genius, is that she combines all different parts of the world into one soup," he explained. "She takes the cotton candy, she takes the beautiful football playing girls, and she mixes everything up into one beautiful pot."

The video also features Kendrick Lamar on a dirtbike and 2 Chainz on an "Ass Float."

Robin Thicke will be performing tonight at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards airing live at 9/8 PM C! Tune in to see if Robin Thicke will win a Moonman!
