Lorde doesn't even have an LP out yet—Pure Heroine comes out next week, but you can hear it today thanks to VH1's exclusive stream—but she's already the hottest new artist in the game. The 16-year-old's first single, "Royals," came out of nowhere to dominate the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry, and she seems well poised to be nominated for a gaggle of Grammys when those nominations are announced later this year.

VH1 spent an entire day with her last month as she prepared for her first ever North American gig at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge. At that time, "Royals" was on its way up the charts, but over the last month or so, the mega-talented young artist's profile has increased exponentially.
