Eddie Trunk's Got A New Book Out That Hard Rock And Heavy Metal Fans Just HAVE To Read

You would be hard pressed to find someone who possesses more encyclopedic knowledge and unwavering passion for hard rock music than Eddie Trunk. The host of VH1 Classic's That Metal Show puts both of those admirable qualities to fantastic use in his new book, Eddie Trunk's Essential Hard Rock And Heavy Metal: Volume II, which just hit shelves this week.

As you can no doubt infer from the Part II portion of this title, this book is a sequel to the first volume of the Essential Hard Rock And Heavy Metal collection that he released in 2011. Featuring a foreword by the one and only Slash, this time around Eddie delves into the legacy of and most memorable musical moments of metal mainstays like Cinderella, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, Lita Ford and more. There's even a chapter on Night Ranger, an act that might not immediately jump out at readers as being "worthy" of inclusion, but one that Trunk makes an incredibly compelling case for.

One of the coolest features of the book are the essential playlists that Trunk made for each of the 35 acts featured in the book; they're even available to listen to on Spotify!
