Friday Face-Off: TLC Edition
CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story is right around the corner, folks! Monday, October 21 at 9PM ET/PT we'll finally get to see the movie we've all been waiting for - and I know you're as psyched as I am. The movie will give us a unique peak behind the curtain, charting the group's rise to fame, loss of fortune and their personal hardships. But I want to take a look at the lighter side of TLC... their redonkulous music videos. From odd costume choices to quirky prop additions, their videos are a compilation of bizarre brilliance. TLC "Dear Lie" - Okay, I know I said I'd lighten things up - and this isn't the most perky music video. But here's the deal: these gorgeous gals are singing about heartache and the struggle of trying to get a guy "outta your head" and the next thing you know - they're sporting animal hide rompers in the hallway. That's pretty funny. Also - what's up with crooning in the halls? Aren't the guests in the hotel going to wake up and complain? Couldn't they have switched it up, and shot a scene or two in the elevator? Maybe at the hotel breakfast buffet? Perhaps at the pool deck? I'm just sayin' - the randomness gives me a good chuckle. I hope it gives you one too.

TLC "Baby-Baby-Baby" - Bah! My favorite weirdism of all-time: Sunglasses INSIDE! I've tried the look before, and frankly I think it's hazardous. Are the incandescent bulbs in that college dorm hallway really so bright T-Boz? Girl, you know I love you, but come on. As this video progresses, we have darling Chilli singing her heart out with a teddy bear prop and some fab-licious hair curlers. Then we have a slumber party scene, with some crazy pajamas I only wish I could find at Target. I'm laughing so hard, in the best possible way. Baby-Baby-Baby I've got so much love for this video.
