Mariah Carey Is A "Diva In Distress!"
Mariah Carey should be having a fantastic week. After all, she's just dropped her new single, "The Art of Letting Go." Unfortunately, the music legend is referring to herself as a "diva in distress." The pop singer sounded off today on Facebook about how a new sound engineer made a massive error and loaded the wrong version of her new single for fans. And this drama is coming just days after she went after American Idol (and presumably Nicki Minaj) on a radio show!

It's kind of ironic that Mariah Carey's new single is called "The Art Of Letting Go," because it sounds like there's a lot that she can't let go of.
At 3:30 AM, Carey took to Facebook to write an epic "'diva in distress' thesis" that explained how upset she was that one of her new sound engineers didn't load "the properly mixed & mastered version" for her fans to listen to during the 11:11 experience.
There's no doubt in anyone's mind that this incompetent sound engineer has already gotten the boot, but Mariah Carey fans now have two versions of "The Art Of Letting Go" to listen to. Carey uploaded the correct version so fans can compare and contrast the versions.
Carey added that "You know that I don't comment on gossip, I typically don't respond to things like this or go into so much detail to the world, but this is something I'm upset about and I wish I would have known sooner."
However, Carey has been gossiping a lot lately about her stint as a host on American Idol...
Two days ago, Mimi was speaking her mind again on Hot 97. This time, it wasn't about her current single, but her former job as a judge on American Idol. While we were stalwart fans of the ratings hemorrhaging show, Carey wasn't as enthused about it. She bluntly declared on air, "I hated it!"
"Honestly, I thought it was going to be a three person panel," she said. "But it wasn't that. It was like Hell. Going to work everyday in Hell with Satan."
While Carey didn't point any fingers as to who was Satan in this version of Hell, it's being inferred that she was referring to Nicki Minaj. The two had a number of public (and private) disputes during the season.
Carey also said that she had problems with the politics of the show. "I loved the contestants…it was disappointing when they--for political reasons--not put people through."
