Two U.S. pop stars are getting a bad rap in France, Cee-Lo Green resurrects a famous partnership, and Nicki Minaj has some surprises ready for 2014.

Rihanna doesn't seem like one to shy away from a promotional opportunity, but her camp denied a request for her music to be featured on an episode of HBO's Girls. It hasn't become clear as to why the singer's "Talk That Talk" wasn't allowed to be utilized, but there's speculation that since the relevant scene included cocaine use, it was too touchy. Lots of us think the French are pretty progressive, but apparently, they draw the line at Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. Broadcasters in France have been banned from showing videos for "Wrecking Ball" and "Work B*tch" before 10 p.m. Thank goodness for the internet! [NME]
