Friday Face-Off: Super Bowl Edition
Hey sports fans, pumped for Super Bowl Sunday? I know we are! So much in fact, we've been celebrating the sports-tastic event all week, with some Super Bowl Blitz entertainment. These music festivities, hosted by Nick Cannon and Stacy Keibler, included stellar performances by J. Cole, Janelle Monáe, Fall Out Boy and TLC. But no fear if you missed it, we've got hot talent on the upcoming roster. Goo Goo Dolls will perform tonight on VH1 at 11/10C (catch the livestream here) and Gavin DeGraw will rock out tomorrow night. So much excitement! In honor of this football fandom, we're celebrating this delicious sporting event the best way we know how - with music videos! Robin Thicke's "Give It 2 U" takes place on a confetti-filled football field, and "Pom Poms" by the Jonas Brothers also has a healthy dose of footfall field fun. Robin Thicke's "Give It 2 U" - You probably already thought this song was addicting, and now that you've seen the video (if you haven't already) - it's hard to take your eyes off the screen. RIGHT? Sure, Thicke may have a history of...err... rather provocative music videos ("Blurred Lines" we're lookin' at you) - but this video is just a hodgepodge of random awesome. And of course, that' what Thicke does best. If the Super Bowl performance ends up being half as entertaining as this, well then that's a job well done. Jonas Brothers' "Pom Poms" - Sometimes cheerleaders get a bad rap, but this video may make you think otherwise about those smiley, perky and oh-so cheery ladies. We see the Jonas Brothers rocking it out on a football field, and then summoning everyone around to get their pom pom jam on. And I mean - everyone. We've got a marching band getting their groove on, random hot chicks on bleachers, a cute little kid with a milkshake, a guy in a tiger mask... and oh so many more shaking it up.
