American Authors and A Great Big World Have Snowy Fun At VH1’s Lift Ticket to Ride

While we’re clearing the remaining snow and shoveling our way out of our homes, James Shelley and Zachary Barnett of American Authors sat down with VH1 to talk about their ride on the slopes and their plans for the new year. Within the insanity of their touring, they finally got a chance to relax, hang out, and high-five “like 237 times” at VH1’s Winter Wonderland.

Coming up this year, American Authors will be touring in the U.K. and Australia. And as the summer’s heat turns up, American Authors will be performing with The Script and One Republic. Be sure to check out the release of their first full-length album Oh, What A Life on March 4th.

Being pampered alongside American Authors were fellow YOK alums Chad Vaccarino and Ian Axel from A Great Big World. Although they avoided the slopes, they appreciated the scenery safely from a distance. In 2014, they can’t wait for their tour in Japan this summer. So how do big-name groups like American Authors and A Great Big World discover music while they’re out of the road? Blogs, friends, and because there’s nothing else to do but listen.
