Imagine Dragons’ Artists Den ‘Radioactive’ Performance Is A Religious Experience

Palladia is airing Imagine Dragon’s full Live From The Artists Den concert Wednesday, March 26 at 9/8C. We’ve got a sneak of the record-breaking rockers performing their smash hit “Radioactive” at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. It’s almost kismet that the Las Vegas band played their 15-song set at a historic venue that broke new ground for women’s rights when Imagine Dragon’s six-times platinum single, after logging 80 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, is now the longest charting single in the Hot 100’s 55-year history. Forget #newrules. It’s all about #newceilings with these guys.

Kendrick Lamar didn’t guest on the Artists Den set for another “Radioactive”/”m.A.A.d. City” mash-up as this was shot June last year before the genius Grammy pairing, but the foursome brought raw power to the joyously cacophonous, dubstep-influenced, sleeper hit that has held the original on the charts for more than a year and a half. Check it out above, but be warned. The nearly two-minute long drum solo before the bridge at the end of the performance had nearly every member beating the skins and was so intoxicating I almost started drumming holes through my desk and breaking coworker’s coffee mugs. Do not view if you’re easily excited by awesome.
